Mayglo

Appearance: The fruit is slightly oval in shape. The skin colour is bright red and the flesh is light yellow in colour with a cling stone.

Harvested: late October to early in November

Owner of variety: Mayglo originated in the USA from a cross between a Fayette peach and a May Grand nectarine. It was released in South Africa in 1987.

Taste and texture: The taste is good, but slightly acid and the texture is fine, firm and melting.
