Minneolas

Appearance: Minneola tend to have large fruit with a distinctive tip (or nose). The mature fruit is a deep, orange colour.

Owner of variety: This fruit originated in Florida in 1931. It is a hybrid of the grapefruit and the tangerine. It is harvested mid May to end June (hot areas) and mid June to end July (cool, inland areas).

Taste and texture: It is juicy, aromatic and has a good tangy flavour.
