 CAPESPAN FOODS HAS PERFORMED ADMIRABLY THIS PAST YEAR. Said director Alistair Phillipson, "In addition to incremental income, the Foods business contributes an additional 25 million Cape and Outspan branded units that are sold or consumed within the UK market each year. The nature of the licenses ensures that the brands remain visible 12 months a year and are associated with innovative, premium products." He emphasised that new products launching under the Cape and Outspan brands continued providing a useful vehicle for enhancing the Capespan corporate profile. The fruit sticks continue to perform well with the airlines and have now also launched with British Midland. About 100 tons of fresh pineapple snacks (2 million pineapple sticks) have been consumed in flight since the April 2008 launch. « Back
