 After the department of land affairs obtained the Rooigras Farm in Komatipoort through a land claim acquisition, Capespan obtained a five-year lease contract on the property including the current crop through the mediation of previous owner Jimmy Tecklenburg. The land comprises approximately 350 h citrus and 1 000 h sugar cane plantings. Capespan has been exporting citrus from Rooigras for a number of years and according to Capespan Fruit Division CEO Louis Kriel,the new arrangement ties in well with the company’s current programmes and future vision. « Back
